Williams Shipping is looking to recruit an experienced assistant credit controller to play a crucial role in managing the group credit control. We can offer a fantastic temporary opportunity with flexible hours, to an individual looking to work for a leading business in Southampton and progress their career in a fast-paced and growing organisation. This is a challenging role reporting to the group Credit Controller within a small and friendly team with a competitive package and benefits.
Roles and responsibilities
- Responsible for chasing outstanding debts via phone, email and letters.
- Co-ordinating the timely resolution customer invoice queries
- Allocation of customer cash receipts and statements
- Other ad-hoc projects and duties to support the account team as required.
Skills required:
- Strong communicator, as the role involves interaction with all other departments at all levels throughout the Company.
- Excellent telephone communication and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work on own initiative as well as work as part of a team with a common goal.
- An ability to solve problems in a logical manner, thereby rectifying issues speedily and efficiently.
- Self-motivated and willing to learn.
- Working knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Excel
