Our busy marine division gets involved in a multitude of different projects around the UK and Northern Europe, including surveys, offshore energy, towage and supporting marine civil engineering projects. We continually assess and modernise our extensive fleet of vessels and ensure the highest levels of staff training in order to maintain our excellent record for safety, efficiency and quality.
We are now looking for experienced skippers to work on board one of our 22m Multicats/Eurocarriers in mainly UK Waters (occasionally in Northern European waters)
Training on our systems as well as a thorough induction on how the operations at Williams Shipping work will be provided.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Navigate the vessel using onboard electronic systems
- Manage the safety of the vessel and crew
- Operate and maintain equipment
- Ensure that maritime laws and local regulations are always followed
- All other duties and activities reasonably requested to achieve Company goals
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the companies Health and Safety Policy
Experience
- Multicat work including anchor handling and deck crane work
- Towage experience, coastal towing and barge handling
Minimum qualification:
- A commercially endorsed Yacht Master Coastal which will include completion of the STCW short courses
- Preferred STCW 200Gt or 500gt Master Coded Vessels
