Since 1894...
 Williams Shipping, founded by George Williams, started trading in 1894 with its very first sailing barge, ’Spec’. George‘s son Jim took the business over and together with his son Ray, expanded the fleet and moved to the Town Quay in Southampton.
The company continued to grow and developed other activities, including Road Transport, and Environmental Services.
The fourth and fifth generations are now running the business which although very different to those early days in George‘s time, strives to achieve the same values that have been maintained since its foundation.
