Williams Shipping held the first breakfast meeting since 2019 on Friday, the 4th of November. The pandemic caused a two-year delay between events, but fortunately this year we had the chance to invite professionals from in and around the port of Southampton, ports across the Solent, and marine and logistics personnel to our exclusive breakfast.

We also had the honour of welcoming a member of Parliament as well as other professionals from different industries.

For our 51st meeting, our guest speaker, Dan Hook, from Ocean Infinity, introduced us to autonomous technology in marine. Ocean Infinity is making huge strides forward in this field. To some, this technology will feel decades away, but Ocean Infinity is at the forefront of bringing this technology to the marine industry in the not-too-distant future.

In 2019 we decided to host the meeting at Grand Cafe and we were impressed by the venue, so we decided that it was the perfect decision to return to the setting of our 51st breakfast.

This was a perfect wrap-up to the working week. It was a great networking opportunity, had a tasty, cooked breakfast, and managed to catch up with our colleagues about what we missed over the past two years. It was an amazing opportunity to connect with many professionals and we are already looking forward to the next breakfast meeting.
